Fireworks, Architecture and a Peregrine Falcon
Jul 5th, 2007 by lvbirders
Last night we headed up to the garage roof top of a casino five minutes from our house to watch the city’s fireworks. The view is amazing. Turn in any direction of a 360 degree circle and you get a beautiful view of the city lights, mountains and lots of fireworks!

Fireworks watching turned into looking at architectural details

as architecture has become a new passion for Josh. And then when I spotted a larger bird fly onto a corner of the casino it turned into bird watching. Josh knew it was some type of Falcon by it’s size, shape, and the way it flew and then using the camera focused in as far as it would go since he didn’t have his binoculars with him, Josh was able to see (oh the blessings of those sharp young eyes!) that it was a Peregrine Falcon. It seems we find birds no matter what we are doing or even where we are at the moment :)

Happy Fourth!
Thanks Steph, Hope your’s was a good one :)
