Recovering…
May 4th, 2007 by lvbirders
from attendance at the midnight showing of Spiderman III last night (or I guess I should say this morning). Josh and I had a great time and I feel blessed that my” baby”, who is an “official” teenager now, does not think it is uncool to be out with his mom at such things. Although “said mom” is thinking she is getting a mite bit too old to greet a new day with only about 3 hours of sleep lol.
As mom was moving in s..l..o…o…o…o….w motion today we kept things light:
- finished watching our DVD Series 1 of Rosemary & Thyme. Josh and I have found a love of British television shows. We also have been enjoying As Time Goes By with Judi Dench and The Vicar of Dibley.
- spent the day at both front and back windows off and on, ooohing and ahhing over the Wilson’s Warbler that was again visiting in our backyard and also two yellow-rumped warblers in the tree in our front yard. For my avid birder son, migration and hence the arrival of the various warblers, is his favorite part of Spring.
- Josh read the next 6 chapters in the book his oldest sister recommended to us, Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. We are studying the “scramble for Africa” in connection with this book. I will have to play catch up as he read while I was getting my oldest son from work. (I am on car duty since oldest is not allowed to drive for 3 months as a result of seizures)
I think it may be an early night for us both.
