Happy Winter Solstice
Dec 22nd, 2006 by lvbirders

Whether the weather be cold,
or whether the weather be hot,
we’ll weather the weather whatever the weather,
whether we like it or not.
This tongue twister is included in the Winter Solstice episode of this video. The watching of said video (which also includes 3 more winter episodes) has been a Solstice tradition with Josh and I for many years now. I feel blessed that this almost teen son of mine still looks forward to sharing this tradition as much as I do. As it is only 9:47 pm Pacific Time, December 21, where we live, we are still enjoying this shortest day of the year :)

We definitely have to get Josh and Reagan together…this is one of our traditions as well. She was never much for television or kids shows, but Little Bear was delightfully different. She learned to tell time just so she would know when it came on, and would sit rapt for the half hour. We have all the shows we could get on video as well! Happy Solstice!
Merry Christmas!
How did the Phantom Tollbooth go? Do you think this is something I can read aloud with my 6.5 yo? I loved it when I was younger but don’t remember all the details.
I’ve moved blogs, address above. The GBRP is at greatbookspartnership.blogspot.com now. I hope you’ll continue reading with us, I see you’re doing quite a bit of reading! Lol.
Merry Christmas to you and yours,
Love Jessica
