Snow! In the Las Vegas Desert!
Dec 19th, 2006 by lvbirders

Audubon Christmas Bird Count, migraines, stomach flu and a car crunch have been keeping us busy elsewhere but this morning I just had to share with you our snow :) Doesn’t happen that often here in the desert. We are lucky enough to be a little higher up so get it more than other places in the valley. We are keeping our fingers crossed for more than the little dusting we got during the overnight. Even this little bit is reason enough to get up early to see :)

This is exciting. :-) I hope you are feeling better!
I think that is more snow than we have received all year yet and we live in the midwest…lol. I hope things slow down for you.
Steph, Yes ANY amount of snow here in the desert is exciting lol. The mountains around here are so pretty and getting very snowy! We are still trickling through the family with the flu but hopefully it is waning its course. Thanks for the kind thoughts.
notsoevlhmschlmom,
Thanks for stopping by. My oldest daughter just went back home (to Cincinnati) for a short visit and we were actually colder than they were. Poor thing. She was looking forward to some cold. We have to enjoy the cold and snow when it comes because here those days are usually few and far between. Christmas day is supposed to be sunny and 60 :( Most people here love that but I miss the change of seasons being a Midwest girl myself.
