Josh just took this Encarta quiz for fun. He got an 8 out of 10. Not too bad since the ones he missed were with Chemistry and Geometry topics he has not yet studied.

Bird Sightings
* Winter Birds - Yesterday we had a Dark Eyed Junco in our backyard for the very first time.
* two new life birds - Birding with friends, Josh added the Tundra Swan and Varied Thrush to his life list recently.
* new life birds - Josh has recently added Wood Thrush, Canada Warbler and Golden Winged Warbler to his life list. He has 321 birds now on his life list.

WOW! How old is Josh?! I’m impressed! I got 9 out of 10 and I was NOT completely confident. There was quite a breadth of knowledge covered. Good for Josh!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Josh just turned twelve. He was not very confident himself about a couple of them but through process of elimination ended up getting them correct. Sometimes I have to laugh at myself. I have not tested Joshua ever and he has always been homeschooled. I worry at times that he won’t know how to “take a test” and then watch as he navigates the “how to’s” in little quizes such as this and am reassured that with some explanation and practice he will be fine when it comes to the BIG tests.
